England boss Gareth Southgate is expected to name his 23-man squad on Thursday in preparation for the up and coming international games against Spain and Switzerland.
And if all goes according to plan, the Three Lions will have five Manchester City players reporting for duty.
Thursday, 30 August 2018 is when the national side announces their squad. And in addition to that, and on the same day the draws are made for the Champions League group stage and the third round of the Carabao Cup.
UCL and Carabao Cup details can be found here.
I expect the social media team over at the official Manchester City office are preparing for a busy day.

I expect City stalwarts Kyle Walker, John Stones, Fabian Delph and Raheem Sterling will slip into the squad. However, the big news will be if midfielder Phil Foden makes it into the 23.
The energetic and wonderfully blessed midfielder has yet to establish himself a regular City starter, but that shouldn’t prevent him from joining England’s senior squad.
It’s fair to say the 18-year-old is on the verge of taking the Premier League by storm. And having represented England at the U19, U18, U17 and U16 level, it’s just a matter of time until he’s unleashed onto the bigger stage.
