Tomorrow’s Premier League fixture at the Etihad against Leicester City couldn’t have come at a better time.

Here are my five reasons:

Reason one

The Foxes have reportedly been in disarray since news broke, on the eve of the 2018 January transfer window closing regarding Manchester City’s interest in signing Riyad Mahrez.

The proposed deal fell through however, 10 days later the 26-year-old’s tantrum finally broke. And earlier this morning the winger returned to train for the first time since his mental breakdown.

I would have imagined one could have cut the atmosphere (within the dressing room) with a knife.

Foxes boss Claude Puel has said his want-a-way starlet will NOT be available to play in Saturday’s fixture.

Will the players be up for the challenge?

Reason two

Former Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been at Leicester City for less than a year, and look at him now. The lad, since his £25m move and who was a promising prospect couldn’t hit a barn door at 10 paces, never mind score.

Premier League 2017/18 stats

Played 11, scored nothing and made one assist.

Fingers crossed he’ll start and continue his poor run of form.

Reason three

I have always had a soft spot for former City keeper, Kasper Schmeichel and I suppose I still do.

Premier League 2017/18 stats

Played 26 times, kept seven clean sheets, saved 78 shots on goal while conceding 35.

Not in the form of his life is he?

Reason four

League table and form…

Reason five

Nothing scientific I know but, with some of our injured players possibly returning click / tap here for details then I feel we’re in a good position.

Will our finger be on the pulse?

Come on CITY!
