Seko Fofana enjoyed a successful loan in the Championship last season and this season he’ll be heading off to France for the latest phase of his development with mcfc.co.uk confirming the midfielder has signed for Bastia.

After his success with Fulham last season Fofana will be looking to continue this in France’s Ligue 1 with Bastia with the 20-year-old EDS midfielder joining them on a season-long loan deal.

Last season was a profitable one with the Cottagers as it enabled him plenty of first-team football, he made 25 appearances for them and scored one-goal. I kind of feel another spell in the Championship, even the Premier League if possible, on loan might have been preferable but the EDS guys know what they’re doing!

Will Fofana, who featured in Australia for Man City in pre-season, make the grade at the Etihad Stadium after this latest loan or do we feel it could be a forerunner to a permanent exit?

Speaking of exits Italian reports, from Tuttosport, are saying that Samir Nasri is ‘under consideration’ for a Juventus as they ponder a move for the 28-year-old who is apparently ‘unsettled’ at the Etihad and could be looking to move onto pastures new….
