Former academy graduate Kelvin Etuhu was earlier sentenced to 8 months in jail following his part in a casino brawl that left a man with a broken jaw.

The incident occurred last year, in which the 22-year-old reportedly floored Owen Fitzpatrick with a single punch.

Kelvin came through Manchester City’s prestigious academy set-up where he showed great potential as a pacey winger. He scored his first goal in the Premier League against Bolton Wanderers as Manchester City triumphed 4-2, but ultimately failed to live up to his earlier promise.

Following a relitavely successful spell at Cardiff City on loan, Kelvin’s contract was terminated by Manchester City after news of the brawl.

Kelvin is the younger brother of Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu, also a Manchester City academy graduate.
