Now I’m trying not to be overly negative about City’s potential transfer targets, but all the warning signs are here for a disatrous acquisition.
There is a lot of speculation that Quinton Fortune is about to join City, which I think is cause for concern. A deal for him to join Celtic has just collapsed rather suddenly after Celtic stalled to review Fortune’s medical situation – alarm bells sounding already !
Now poor old Quinton didn’t have the happiest of times at United; a fringe player at best and his career was blighted by bad injuries – not his fault, but after enduring last season during which we seemed to have the worst injury run in living memory, why do City appear so keen to sign Fortune up on a two year deal, and probably on big wages, when the liklihood is that he’ll be spending a lot of time on the injury list with Reyna and a few others I could mention.
Do Celtic know something City don’t?
