The People newspaper are reporting that Liverpool are about to renew their interest in rising City star Micah Richards.
The 18 year old had been previously linked to a host of premiership clubs in the summer including Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, but he opted to stay at City and signed a long-term contract before the start of this season ( for what it’s worth ! )
News of renewed speculation is not good for Stuart Pearce, who will have a job on his hands persuading all of City’s top players to remain at Eastlands.
Liverpool have also recently been linked again with Blackburn full back, Lucas Neil, and it looks like Benitez would be comfortable signing either player.
I suspect speculation about Richards will be a long-running saga between now and January, but hopefully the 18-year old will stay and learn his craft at City for a while yet.
