João Alves de Assis Silva, or just plain Jo to you and I is expected to put pen-to-paper this week on a £20million transfer move from CSKA Moscow to Man City.

For those of us who don’t know an awful lot about the 21-year-old Brazilian striker, may I suggest you watch the following 10 minute video.

Fact file

Jo started his professional career in 2003 for Brazilian side Corinthians. During his two-year spell with the South American side, Jo made 81 appearances scoring a mere 13 times.

In 2006 and at the tender age of 19, the 6’3′ Sao Paulo born striker was spotted by, then subsequently signed for CSKA Moscow. To date he’s netted 30 times in just 52 games.

City fans can expect an official announcement before the weekend.

In the meantime….
