According to a report courtesy of Il Mattino via Sport Witness, Man City are leading the race for Napoli stalwart Kalidou Koulibaly – with the report going on to claim that ‘only’ the Sky Blues are really in pursuit of the 29-year-old.
Koulibaly, who has started 16 Serie A games for his club this season, impressing with his 90% pass accuracy and 2.5 tackles per game on average according to WhoScored, is at the centre of heavy interest from the Sky Blues as we look to secure a defensive signing who can plug gaping holes at the back.
However, while there is ‘only Manchester City‘ in the hunt for Koulibaly, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has remained stern over the player’s €90 million (£81.2 million) asking price to get a potential deal over the line.
