Manchester City announced today the signing of Faroe Islands goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen.

Talking to the MCFC official site the 22-year-old said…

‘This is a really big club, and it’s nice to come here knowing people. I know what they expect from me, and they will know what to expect from me. I am excited because I know that they believe in me, so I will work hard for them.’

‘It seems like a club with massive plans that wants to achieve great things. I have met people at Carrington and there is a real harmony there, everybody seems happy and is focussing on the same goals. It’s a good place to come to.’

‘So many players would give their right arm to be in the position I am in right now. Of course it’s an exciting time, and I am not going to let this chance go by.’
