Goalkeeper Joe Hart has said that the criticism the team have come in for over the last week especially hasn’t affected them.

With pundits and fans having their say following back to back defeats, Hart told the Official Site following the two nil victory over Leicester City that media criticism doesn’t affect the players or bother them as they are driven to try and succeed but he acknowledged fans wouldn’t be happy with our recent run of form and that’s natural.

‘In the end, this was a hard fought game, as we expected, similar to the game we had at their place, so it was a good win.’

Moving onto the last week or so.

‘We’ve had criticism off people who don’t particularly matter to us. What matters is what our manager thinks, and what we think as players. We showed where our heads are at with this result. We’ll keep trying to win every game we’ve got, same as we have done for the past couple of years, when we’ve been chasing titles and cups.’

Hart goes on to say that this is always the aim, but it’s ‘pretty evident’ that we can’t always get what we want in the game and we won’t win every single match we play, so it’s about how the team respond to those set backs and disappointments and he feels the response can be seen by the way we dug in against Leicester.
