England and Manchester City No 1 goalkeeper Joe Hart has today finally penned his long term contract at the club.

The 27 year old has penned a new deal that sees him remain at the Etihad until the end of the 2018-19 season and he joins Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Aleksandar Kolarov, Samir Nasri and David Silver in signing new long term deals – not to mention Vincent Kompany.

By the end of his new deal, he will have been at City for 13 years.

Speaking to the Official Site after the deal was announced, Hart said.

‘I’m really happy, I’ve been here a long time now and I want to keep that going. The new deal means I get to stay longer – the Club’s doing amazing things at the moment, we’ve created history and we want to keep doing that. Wanting to stay was never going to be an issue – I’ve loved every moment since I joined. The Club’s growing and I’ve been really lucky to be part of the ride.’
