Manchester City had a reported £65m bid turned down by Leicester City on transfer deadline day for winger Riyad Mahrez. We are also led to believe City delegates were happy to included Eliaquim Mangala as part of the deal. In the end MCFC officials threw in the towel, admitted defeat and walked away when The Foxes demanded around £95m for their 26-year-old.
Mahrez is thought to be devastated when he found out City’s offer had been dismissed meaning he was to remain at the King Power Stadium for at least another six months. I bet he was, poor chap!
Close friend of Riyad Mahrez says Mahrez can’t understand why Leicester won’t let him join Man City: ‘He’s given his all for Leicester. Joining City would have been a dream. Playing for Pep is something he’s still desperate to do. He’s very down.’

So, what’s next?
Goodness knows but I expect he’ll have a face like a smacked ass when he turns up for training later today.
