Manchester City 2-1 Chelsea: According to our forum poll yesterday’s match official, Howard Webb played a blinder.

The question was…

How did match referee, Howard Webb perform?

The current result shows Mr Webb scoring very highly with the majority of you giving him 4/5.

Here are a few of your comments.

MCFC_Goatboy – 2 out of 5 for me…shouldn’t of been a corner for their goal…possible hand ball for our 1st…2 big decisions may have got wrong. Apart from that was ok…correct decision on penalty…bookings were all appropriate…

SIR TROYSTER – I would give him 4 as I’m in a really good mood.

bluemooner_mcfc – 3. I gave him because it should have been a goal kick not a corner and he should have sent off 2 Chelsea players.

BlueWolfie – He was aware of the weather conditions and so let many things (forgive the pun) slide. Maybe one could argue that one of the yellows, deserved a red, and for that reason he gets a 4 instead of a 5.

cityman51 – Got the decision for there goal wrong, should have been a straight red for there fullback after the Tevez tackle, and gave most of the 50/50s to Chelsea, (but hey whets new), and booked Barry and let Anelka off for the same tackle and he did it 3 times so wasn’t consistent in his decisions…but tried to let the game flow.

bluesnozza – 4 from me. Got most decisions right including the penalty and let the game flow nicely for the most part.

OziMan – 4 from me for his patience and tight control he displayed when the Chelsea boys started to lose control of themselves being outwitted and outplayed by a superior team.
