News circulating around certain unofficial Manchester City websites suggests a campaign has begun to create a unique Wembley Stadium atmosphere during the FA Cup semi-final against Sir Alex’s team.

Around 40,000 Manchester City fans are expected to turn their backs when the tannoy announces the Manchester United team and in doing so jump up and down in the traditional ‘Poznan’ style. Once in position the chant is expected to be…

‘Were doing the Poznan at Wimberley, were doing the Poznan at Wemberlee.’

Once the United team has been announced every Citizen is expected to turn around, face the pitch, and raise their Blue scarf and banners in the air and sing, ‘CITY, CITY…’

Of course City supporters will be expected to Poznan every time Roberto Mancini’s side scores, but that goes without saying.
