Manchester City have been given an injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Fulham, with Kalvin Phillips spotted in training and having a contact session with the coaches. The Sky Blues posted a video on Twitter of their first-team players training and Phillips was seen taking hits from the bag.
The 26-year-old has been out sidelined since mid-September after picking up a shoulder injury that he had to undergo surgery to fix. Phillips has made just three appearances in all competitions this season but is nearing a recovery after nearly two months out.

Phillips joined on a six-year deal from Leeds United this summer but couldn’t have wished for a more nightmarish debut season with injuries causing the lack of playing time. The England international hopes to play for England in the World Cup later this month, but he’ll need to prove his fitness to Gareth Southgate.
Guardiola admitted not knowing if Phillips would make the tournament as he’s unlikely to play for City until December. The Sky Blues have three games within eight days before taking a break for the World Cup, so supporters won’t see the 26-year-old line up for City. He’ll need more time.
