Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sergio Aguero could be out of action for up to a month after picking up a hamstring injury in Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United on Sunday.
The £37.8m-rated striker hadn’t long returned from a four-month knee injury suffered back in June, but he picked up a knock in the first half of our West Ham clash and may not return until mid-to-late November.

Aguero has made only two Premier League appearances from our last 13 and we’ve had to cope without Gabriel Jesus this season too. Without our two strikers available ahead of Tuesday’s evening trip to face Olympique Marseille, Guardiola may have to call upon one of Ferran Torres, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva or Riyad Mahrez to operate at centre-forward.
We’ve had the perfect start to our Champions League campaign, beating FC Porto on October 21. We’re joint-top of Group C with three points from one game and could go clear at the summit with a win over Marseille. Olympiacos are currently level with us on points ahead of their trip to face Porto.
