‘It’s unbelievable’ – Jack Grealish gives opinion on Man City teammate

|

Erling Haaland scored twice in Wednesday’s 5-0 win over FC Copenhagen and Jack Grealish gave his verdict on the 22-year-old’s bright start to life at Manchester City. He bagged 86 goals in 89 games for Borussia Dortmund and boasts an even better goal-per-game ratio (0.97) in England (1.58).

Haaland has scored five goals in three Champions League games and 14 goals in eight Premier League games, so he’s one goal off hitting 20 for the season and it’s only October. Grealish can’t believe how well the Norwegian international is doing and told reporters that he’s a pleasure to play with.

Grealish said: “It’s unbelievable. I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life. I was just laughing, like how?! He’s always there. It’s a pleasure to play with him. Their goalkeeper said to me after one of his goals, he’s not human! I was like ‘I know!’. He’s so humble, he’s great around the place, that’s God’s honest truth. Hopefully he can carry this on and fire us to glory.”

Haaland scored two goals in City’s 2-0 win over West Ham United (August 7), netted once in their 3-3 draw with Newcastle United (August 21), scored a hattrick in the 4-2 win over Crystal Palace (August 27) and 6-0 win over Nottingham Forest (August 31), bagged one goal in City’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa (September 3), scored once in their 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers (September 17) and bagged another hattrick in the 6-3 win over Manchester United (October 2), so he can’t be stopped.

And in Europe, Haaland scored two in City’s 4-0 win over Sevilla (September 6), netting one in their 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund (September 14) and notched a brace against Copenhagen, so Grealish is right to be excited by his potential. No one has scored more than Haaland in Europe’s top-five leagues, so he’s one of the best centre-forwards in the continent.
