David James has put in a transfer request citing ‘personal reasons’ according to City boss Stuart Pearce.
Pearce says the reasons given are to remain between hin and James but that he fully understands them.
Pearce insists that for James to move away from the club however, any deal will be done on City’s terms.
With Portsmouth interested, and ready to offer £2 million for the player, James could leave as early as next week.
