Jerome Boateng Attempts City Team Talk

Failed Premier League defender Jerome Boateng has chosen his moment to go over the top against Manchester City in advance of tonight’s mouthwatering clash in Munich…

The German international, who left English crowds utterly underwhelmed during his 14 league performances last season couldn’t resist a pop at his former team-mates in his latest droaning interview:

‘They are a huge squad and the team had no sense of togetherness. I do not see them getting to the final because there are others who are better. We have the better team. But I still have a lot of contact with the players in England and clearly I will be teasing them.’

Boateng’s injury riddled dreary year at City wasn’t all doom and gloom however. He signed from Hamburg for £10,460,000 and left for Munich for £12,360,000. An inexplicable profit for the Manchester club.

But maybe Boateng needs to be focusing more upon his own situation. Bayern’s coach Jupp Heynckes recently selected the excellent former Blue Daniel Van Buyten ahead of Boateng in his side and backed that decision up with:

‘Boateng has been unable to consistently perform at the highest level so far this season.’
