This summer’s longest running, and dare I say it, tedious transfer saga is all but over. And now all we Blues need is for Manchester City FC to confirm the signing of Napoli midfielder, Jorginho.
I say boring because I’m fed up with hearing the never-ending daily headline nonsense, “Jorginho will sign within 24 hours” malarkey. I mean, I’ve been reading similar articles for weeks.
And now the wait is over, hurrah!
Both City and Napoli have agreed a reported £43m transfer fee – Jorginho’s agent, and source for a lot of the mischievous quotes, Joao Santos, who was seen doing a ‘moonwalk” with what he’ll pocket in regards to his cut is thought to be chuffed as nuts, while the player himself is happy as Larry with his financial terms. In other words, everyone is secretly doing a little jig for getting the deal over the line.
MCFC are expected to assign the 26-year-old the number 6 shirt.
Style of play
Jorginho’s work-rate, technical ability, vision and passing accuracy is regarded as second to none, hence one of the reasons why Pep Guardiola was so eager to get the player at the Etihad.
Official MCFC statement
While we wait for City to make an official statement…
I admit defeat, roll over into submission and copy what some blogs have been reporting for yonks….
…”Jorginho will sign within 24 hours.”
There, I said it.
Welcome to Manchester City FC.
