Real Madrid manager, José Mourinho, admits he is unable to compete with Manchester City in the transfer market after being outbid for Aleksander Kolarov.

The Special One told the press…

‘I understand that if someone wants to compete with them for a player it is very difficult. They are dominant in the market. The player they say they want is the player they get.’

‘I was interested in Kolarov when I came here but I couldn’t compete with them (MCFC) as they went to values that I couldn’t.’

‘If they have the money they can do it, if they have the ambition to win the Premier League they can do it.’

Here are a couple of comments on the very subject, taken from our forums.

Spooks – Mourinho sees us coming in the top 3 but Hansen and all his pundit cronies see us not making the top 4. I wonder who knows more about football?

fifthcolumnblue – To paraphrase Hansen: ‘You’ll win nothing with young hungry superstars!’

Doody – How long before Mourinho starts to hint that he is what City need to finish the job…lol
