Thursday July 17 Manchester City travel to the Faroe Islands to face EB/Streymur in the first qualifying round first leg of the UEFA Cup, but, how can fans watch the game – live?

Two weeks later, the home leg is being shown live on ITV4, however, as yet no UK broadcaster has announced any details regarding the live stream out of the Faroe Islands.

So, unless you are one of the lucky 500 or so City fans making the long trip to parts of the world yet conquered by civilisation, how on earth are the rest of us mortals going to watch, or listen to the match?

Satellite enthusiasts with dishes the size exceeding 1.8m can pick up TV channels from many Nordic channels and beyond, however that means diddly squat to the rest of us. So, in the absence of common sense many of us are going to be left to our own devices!

Many internet users use sites whereby the content might not, shall we say, be exactly legal (scratches nose). I for one would not advocate using these sites, nevertheless I know someone who might know a thing or two about such places.

Baring in mind the last paragraph, I am going to have to end this article and pass you over to someone who I met down the pub the other night who knows a thing or two about these things.
