Kiddo – It’s Getting Better Man

Roberto Mancini’s assistant boss Brian Kidd has taken a break from preparations for City’s 30th competitive fixture of the season to look further ahead…

The Citizens legend emphasised that City are still very much a work in progress but above all else revealed the faith he has in City’s squad:

‘Our target has always been a top four place from the start of the season. We’re doing OK on that, but nobody’s getting carried away, not the boss or the players. We know there’s a lot of hard work still to come…He demands that we work hard and always look to improve – and we know, like him, that we’re not the finished article even though we are going quite well.’

Kiddo took the stage for the ‘pre-Blackpool presser’ in Mancio’s absence whom the former City striker revealed was in London with some business to attend to following watching the Chelsea versus Bolton clash last night.

Kidd had these words of inspiration for a City squad who are coming together in a strong spirit with ideal timing:

‘I wouldn’t swap our squad now for anybody in the Premier League, to be honest. I wouldn’t swap any of our lads for anybody else in the top four or five.

He would not be drawn however on the strengthening rumours that Edin D?eko is poised to fly into Manchester:

‘No buy, no sell, no tales to tell!’
