Budding Blues journalist, Ben sent Vital Manchester City the following.

Sergio Aguero had the debut many can only dream of as he helped City to a 4-0 win over Swansea City by bagging a brace and assist in an emphatic display.

The game started with City on the back foot as Swansea showed impressive possession play, showing intent that they will give anyone a go this season and play attractive football in the process. City soon got into their stride as they combined to make some good chances and through Silva forced a top draw save from Vorm and later went on to rattle the crossbar, twice! In what proved to be a frustrating first half.

The second half kicked off under an incredibly tense atmosphere with city fans fearing it would be an all too familiar sight for city as a lot of chances are squandered and would often end up losing in a game they should’ve won. However fears were allayed as they showed more sharpness and intent as play resumed and soon enough City through Edin Dzeko, after Adam Johnson`s effort was parried by keeper Vorm and Dzeko slotted home in the 57th minute.

Aguero was introduced shortly after on the 60th minute mark, as he replaced Nigel De Jong who limped off in a worrying scene for city fans. But that was soon in the back of the City fans minds as ‘Kun` Aguero bagged an early tap in for his first goal in a City shirt thanks to a surging run and cross from right-back Micah Richards (68th minute). Sergio then went on to assist David Silva after a failed attempt to lob Vorm only to him then hook the ball back in to the box for Silva to place it in effortlessly (71st minute).

If that wasn’t enough to send out a statement that he will be worth every penny of the £38,000,000 City are reported to have paid for him, he then stunned the crowd with a sweetly struck 25 yard strike in extra time.

After the game pundits and players alike took to Twitter to voice their opinion on the new Premier League frontman. Joey Barton tweeted, ‘Jonas and Collo said he was better than Tevez, I wasn’t having it…I am now. What a 30 minute spell that was. City gonna go close this yearr,’

Stuart Holden had this to say…

‘Aguero might be a handful next weekend! Top of the table clash.’

Stan Collymore seemed pleased that Aguero will now be gracing our screens this season, on the same day the Premier League lost Fabregas to La Liga, he tweeted…

‘A new Premier League star is born. Kun Aguero. At last, another player to get us off our seats. Hallelujah!’

All I can say as a City Fan is…‘The boys a bit special!’
