Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear made it clear during Thursday’s press conference that he was left disappointed after failing to capture the signing of Manchester City midfielder, Michael Johnson.
An official bid was tabled for Johnson but the Toon boss was left empty handed after City declined Newcastle’s offer.
Kinnear said…
‘At one stage, we thought we had Johnson then the goalposts were moved. We waited and waited and waited and the clock was running down.’
