Nobody across Planet Blue was surprised to hear that City captain Vincent Kompany’s appeal against a four match ban was rejected by the Football Association…

…yet they have every reason to be livid at the sheer hypocrisy of arch outspoken rags Sir Alex Ferguson and Wayne Rooney. Nevermind the now Europe reknowned pisspoor English scattergun refereeing standard.

They knew full well that for City to lose the man who has helped galvanise his side into league leaders throughout the remainder of a pivotal January would be a major blow.

As it stands, the City squad, who to their credit had nothing to do with their rag counterparts in the tunnel around the Manchester cup derby have other ideas. The intention is to win every single one of the games the skipper will miss by way of a tribute to him, sending the middle finger to Rugney and Taggart’s hopes.

Every rag’s favourite scouser has been publically vocal over Kompany’s ball winning tackle on Nani Jackson from the moment the ball was won to his twatter account.

Rewind to March 2008 and the rags FA Cup exit at home to Portsmouth. The images below speak for themselves, but it’s worth reminding English football of Taggart’s comments that Portsmouth played dirty after that game, ignoring his striker’s charge at Kranjcar: ‘Teams aren’t allowed to try and beat us, we are Manchester United.’

Rugney: ‘it was a clear red card.’
