Steph Houghton says Man City Women`s FA Cup triumph ranks very highly in her list of career achievements.
‘I’m overwhelmed to be honest! What an amazing day!
“What an occasion and what a performance from the girls. I don’t think it will sink in for a few days yet!
‘You dream of playing at Wembley, representing Manchester City and captaining the team to the FA Cup.
‘To be able to say I have done that with my family, friends and boyfriend there is special.
‘I was confident before the game, although we respected Birmingham.
‘We knew we wanted to the way we knew we can and get a few goals early on.
‘We knew getting an advantage would make it a lot easier.
“The gameplan certainly went to play and we sit as FA Cup winners. We`re delighted.
‘We never find ourselves 3-0 up so to be 3-0 at half-time, we were thrilled.
‘We hold every single domestic trophy which is a credit to everyone.
‘We can`t wait to get playing again.’
It means so much to every one of us. Unbelievable day playing a Wembley. Huge thanks to family and fans for making the day extra special 🏆 pic.twitter.com/bkmx6tygVS
