Lazio interested in Man City’s ‘wild card’ £20m man, report says a ‘sale is possible’

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio are interested in Oleksandr Zinchenko and could make a move for the 24-year-old before the winter transfer window shuts.

Zinchenko has an uncertain future at Manchester City as he’s been short of playing time under Pep Guardiola, but it remains to be seen if he’ll be granted a move midway through the season.

The Ukrainian international joined City from Ufa in 2016 and has gone on to make 76 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals with six assists. Zinchenko has made eight appearances across the board this season but has only featured twice in the Premier League.

He’s made four appearances from a possible six in the Champions League and started in City’s EFL Cup quarter-final and semi-final wins, so Guardiola does still rate him. Zinchenko has spent most of the league campaign on the bench or out of the matchday squad, however, so he might be seeking a departure.

La Lazio Siamo Noi say a ‘sale is possible’ for the left-sided player whom they also describe as a ‘wild card’ with a £20m asking price. It’s hard to see Lazio paying that much to sign him, however, as the Serie A outfit aren’t blessed with lucrative funds.
