Goalkeeper Joe Hart has called on the team to find our best form and quickly following the loss to Liverpool and he wants us to get back to winning ways when we face Leicester City on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, with us now five points off Chelsea in top spot, and four points off Arsenal in third place, Hart said that if we want to get our third Premier League title in four years then we have to do it the hard way, and that has to start with three points in the midweek fixture.

‘It’s not by choice – we certainly don’t set out to lose games and then have a points gap to make up, but that’s the way it’s fallen for us and that’s the way we will have to attack it again this time.’

Hart goes on to say that he’s ‘not that bothered’ now about improving on previous seasons or any of that sort of stuff that City were trying to do this campaign, as all that matters is we close that points gap by hook or by crook, and get ourselves back into the race properly and the less ‘drama’ we can do that with – with reference to last season – the better also.

‘Winning the league is the most important thing whether we do it dramatically or not. It’d be nice not to have to do it that way but it looks as though it will have to be if we’re going to win it.’

As for Leicester, he says we have to ‘start again’ against them, find our form, get three points and get some momentum going to lift confidence again.

‘The season is full of highs and lows and that’s the beauty of this league. Chelsea have experienced it and look at Liverpool – they looked as though they could be relegated the way they started the season and now they’re flying and looking like they will qualify for the Champions League. We just need to catch fire at the right time.’

With Leicester being bottom of the table though, the England stopper knows we can’t take them lightly or underestimate them because they will be fighting for their lives.

‘I’m expecting loads of energy and lots of belief from Leicester. I’m also expecting quality and a good Premier League team to come here – they’re not down at the bottom because they’re getting smashed five nil every week. Most games they have lost have been close games and teams have been very happy to beat them. They’ve managed one or two shock results along the way so they are going to be in the game – our mentality needs to be spot on and we need to go into the match looking to win.’

The encounter earlier in the season ended one nil in our favour thanks to a Frank Lampard goal, so this one is likely to be equally as tight.
