Man City dealt transfer blow over 16 y/o as PSG have ‘opened negotiations’

|

Manchester City have been linked with a move for Endrick for some time and consider him a hot prospect for the future, but the Sky Blues have been dealt a blow in their pursuit for the 16-year-old as Paris Saint-Germain lead the race for his signature.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Endrick’s father said PSG have ‘opened negotiations’ and are the only club linked with the Brazilian to make an offer. The Parisians have offered £40m for Endrick but had their bid rejected by Palmeiras. Chelsea could open talks over a move soon too, so City risk being left behind.

The 16-year-old has made seven appearances in all competitions at senior level, scoring three goals with one assist. And for Brazil, Endrick has scored five goals with one assist from four games at U17 level. His future is bright and has already has his pick of clubs interested, but Palmeiras aren’t cashing in just yet.

Whether City will attempt to outbid PSG is unknown, but it’s bad news for their hopes of signing him that they have Ligue 1’s defending champions for company. PSG already have a couple of Brazilians in the squad (Marquinos, Neymar) so that could factor in Endrick’s decision.
