Man City man continues impressive international record despite Nations League defeat

Norway suffered a 2-1 defeat to Slovenia on Saturday, but one silver lining was Erling Haaland getting on the scoresheet to extend his outstanding goal record for club and country this season.

The 22-year-old capitalised on a defensive error to bag for Norway, meaning he’s now had a hand in every single goal for the national team in their Nations League campaign – six goals scored and one assist made from five games.

Haaland scored the winner in Norway’s 1-0 victory over Serbia (June 2), scored both goals in their 2-1 win over Sweden (June 5), failed to score as Norway were held to a goalless draw against Slovenia (June 9), scored twice and had an assist in their 3-2 win over Sweden (June 12) and netted in the 2-1 defeat to Slovenia recently.

The 22-year-old has scored or created a goal in every City appearance this season too, so he couldn’t have wished for a better campaign. Haaland has nine goals and two assists for Norway this year alone. He’s bagged 10 goals from 14 games for City in just two months too, so when will the streak end?
