Manchester City are prepared to offer £18 million for Everton’s centre-back, Joleon Lescott.
Reports in the Express suggest Everton are bracing themselves for the inevitable, however it is thought the 26-year-old centre-back will have the final say.
Birmingham born Lescott is reportedly on £40,000 a week but with City prepared to double that, many pundits think it’s only a matter of time before the 6′ 2′ tall Wolves youth academy graduate puts pen-to-paper.
An Everton source said…
‘We have been told an £18m bid from City is on the way. If that happens, Joleon will be informed. It will then be up to him if he wants to talk to them.’
Joleon, capped six times by England is currently with the national squad preparing for Wednesdays World Cup qualification encounter with Andorra.
