Reacting to a throwback courtesy of Twitter account Man City Superbia, these Sky Blues have been reminiscing over Carlos Tevez’ infamous sign during our 2011/2012 title celebrations in reference to ex-rival boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Tevez, who rejoined Roberto Mancini’s side after a team hiatus where he was pictured playing golf in Argentina, contributed to the final run of games at least – scoring a hat-trick in the 6-1 away win at Norwich City and assisting Samir Nasri for his winning goal against Chelsea at home.
Despite the Argentine’s mixed contributions on the pitch, Tevez joined in the 11/12 title parade and held up a sign with a particular message to Ferguson – with some City supporters looking back on the moment and heralding their ex-striker for his controversial gesture.
Make a statue of him @ManCity ASAP
