What do you make of this team?

Given, Boateng, Kompany, Bridge, Wright-Phillips, Tevez, Guidetti, Bellamy, Adebayor,Santa Cruz.

This is not the starting eleven for the Cup Final, it is eleven players either linked with other Clubs over the last week or so or on loan and wanting away.

It is clearly a no-news week at Eastlands with only the Tevez fitness issue seemingly hitting the back pages, so the dreamers are polishing their pens in readiness for the end of the season and the new transfer window.

Given is wanted by host of reasonably good clubs and that is no surprise. Boateng it is suggested could be returning to the fatherland with Bayern who are also ‘watching’ VK along with Real Madrid. Boyata wassupposedly offered as a makeweight in a deal involving Baines I think. Bridge, Bellamy and Adebayor are alreadyout on loan and the way back doesn’t look like an option for them. Tevez and Guidetti are supposedly packing their bags for pastures new. Tevez clearly did not expect City to get to the Cup Final so took his jobseekers allowance to Italy, Guidetti thinks there may be first team football for him in another country. And then there is Roque? Who would genuinely want him? Maybe a return to Germany is on the cards for him too? There is also Vladimir Weiss out at Rangers too, what will become of him I wonder?

If I was to start listing the players linked to City’s ‘in-tray’ it would get even sillier.

Three huge matches on the horizon over the next week or so. Wouldn’t it be great to achieve our targets for the season by the evening of 14 May?

Everton’s kickers will no doubt be out in force with Vital’s Everton pages already referring to Lescott as a traitor. Do they never show any respect to former players? Cricket pads will be needed for that one. After all they – only try to play like Real Madrid.

Spurs may or may not be at full strength with a number of players seemingly carrying knocks.

And finally Stoke City. I really don’t know what to make of them. I consider myself a reasonable student of football, but when a team sets out it’s stall to gain fromdead ball situations it’s hard to see any discernable tactics and that is worrying.

Anyway we’ll start to see how it pans out from this weekend….starting with the Ped Report on Saturday.
