Fernandinho is out of contract at the end of the season and could be on his way out of Manchester City as he’s no longer commanding a starting place, so the Sky Blues are looking to replace him.
City have been linked with Denis Zakaria, Manuel Locatelli, Ismael Bennacer and Douglas Luiz, but the Daily Mail said on Sunday that Adrien Rabiot is also on their radar.

The 25-year-old is excellent at turning over the ball, retains high levels of possession and provides a box-to-box threat in midfield, so it’s not surprising why City would be keen on his signature.
Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo was full of praise for Rabiot only months ago, telling Sky Sports (h/t Goal) in November: “He is a complete player, I have rarely seen someone so strong both physically and technically.”
The French international has made 21 Serie A appearances this season, scoring two goals, completing 90.3% of his 883 passes, winning 28 aerial duels, making 23 successful dribbles, blocking 20 shots/passes/crosses, making 20 clearances and averaging a tackle (44) or interception (28) every 19 minutes (WhoScored).
Rabiot has made more interceptions than Rodri (24) and Fernandinho (15) this season (WhoScored), so he’d certainly improve the midfield. The 25-year-old’s agent Vincenzo Morabito told Tuttosport that his client won’t be leaving Juventus this summer, however, so City might have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
