According to Fussball Transfers (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester City are interested in David Alaba and may have to battle Real Madrid to procure his signature.
The 28-year-old has an uncertain future at Bayern Munich as he has six months remaining on five-year deal signed in March 2016 and cannot reach an agreement with CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Alaba could leave Bayern on a free transfer in the summer of 2021 and Fussball Transfers believe City could have an edge in the transfer race due to Pep Guardiola’s involvement.
He managed Alaba at Bayern and previously called the Austrian international “an unbelievable talent”. The feelings are mutual too. Alaba has credited Guardiola for his mentorship, so he might be open to a City move.
The 5ft 9in defender has made 404 appearances in all competitions since joining Bayern from Austria Wien in 2008, scoring 32 goals with 49 assists. Alaba has won nine Bundesliga titles, six DFB-Pokals and two Champions Leagues, so he’d be an incredible player to bring to the Etihad.
Real’s interest could make things tricky, but City have the financial clout and Pep to swing the deal in their favour.
