According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester City are interested in Boubacar Kamara and may have to battle Barcelona and Bayern Munich to lure him away from Olympique Marseille.

Kamara has been a regular at L’OM since rising through the youth ranks to the first-team in 2016/17, but his future at the Stade Vélodrome is uncertain as European giants enter the race for his signature.

The 21-year-old has made 95 appearances in all competitions for L’OM, scoring three goals with three assists. He’s been a regular under Andres Villas-Boas, making 16 appearances from a possible 17 (94%) and amassing 1341 minutes of playing time from a possible 1530 (87.6%) this season.

In 11 Ligue 1 appearances, Kamara has completed 84.6% of 590 passes, won 31/49 aerial duels (63%), made 7/14 successful dribbles (50%), blocked 11 shots/passes/crosses, made 16 clearances and averaged a tackle (25) or interception (11) every 26 minutes.

The French U21 international has made more tackles in the league than Kevin De Bruyne (18) and Rodri (15), so he may improve City’s midfield. Mundo Deportivo say his asking price is in excess of €25m while his wages are €2.5m-a-year, so the Sky Blues know how much he’ll cost.

Whether a move is made in January remains to be seen, however, as Pep Guardiola does have De Bruyne, Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho at his disposal.
