Report: Man City could sell 22 y/o, Guardiola has ‘no space’ for player and ‘doesn’t want’ him

Lukas Nmecha has an uncertain future at Manchester City. The 22-year-old has never managed to nail down a starting place with the Sky Blues, resulting in a series of loan spells away from Manchester.

His latest was at RSC Anderlecht and saw him bag 21 goals and three assists in 41 games across the board, but Bild still don’t believe Nmecha has a future at the Etihad Stadium.

The report says Pep Guardiola has ‘no space’ for the German U21 international and ‘doesn’t want’ him in the first-team next season, so Nmecha could be offloaded this summer.

He’s scored 15 goals in 16 games for City’s U18s, scored eight goals in 14 games for the U19s and scored 27 goals in 35 games for the U23s, but Nmecha has only been handed three first-team appearances.

The 22-year-old has been loaned out to Preston North End, Vfl Wolfsburg, Middlesbrough and Anderlecht, but it remains to be seen where he’ll end up if sold by City.

Nmecha is bound to have a lot of interest given his young age and form from last season, so he shouldn’t struggle locating a suitor this summer.
