Manchester City`s executive chairman Gary Cook has today spoken about the future of Manchester City in the transfer department.
Its comes on the day when Real Madrid`s goalkeeper Iker Casillas became the next media driven possible transfer for city in January. According to reports City were willing to pay over £129 million pounds for him. Of course this is just the media randomly picking a player, and then slapping the biggest price tag possible, but how on earth any player can be worth £129 million pounds is just hilarious. If this was the case, id be worth around £20 million pounds and I have only ever played for a local Sunday team.
Away from the absolute ridiculous, come the words of someone who knows what the club wants and what their ambitions are. Gary Cook told GuillemBalague.com, just what to expect come January.
‘Manchester City Football Club has a clear strategy for the future. We want the right players who will take this club forward and through discussions and meetings between myself, Mark Hughes and his technical staff, we have identified a list of targets,’

Encouraging words from a man who only seems to come out and talk to us, when things either get to bad, or just ridiculous. The fact is the club like most clubs generally seem to leave us in the dark. Where would a club be if they didn`t have supporters? In my opinion a club depends on the supporters in order to run. I`m not saying we want to know every single background information about every player where after, but words that Gary Cook spoke of today to be delivered more often.
Whoever Mark Hughes and Co bring in, I`m sure most of them will not be any of the names that are being touted about.
