Vital Manchester City does the media rounds to see what the papers have been saying about Manchester City Football Club over the last couple of days.

Sergio Aguero or Gabriel Jesus? There may only be room for one at City, admits Pablo Zabaleta

The Independent runs with the above headline. Written by Tim Rich the sports journalist claims Aguero was left questioning his future after his latest omission against Swansea City at the weekend.

Gabriel Jesus, the new kid on the block has begun his City career in fine form and Pablo Zabaleta thinks Gabriel could easily play as the clubs lone striker.

‘Of course, if the manger decides to play them both together, they could do that,’ said Zabaleta. ‘But we play in a 4-3-3 with one central striker, two wingers wide. That’s why probably at the moment one of them needs to play up front on his own.’

Could Pep show Kun the door?

We stay on the Sergio Aguero theme…

City insist Sergio Aguero is staying despite interest from Paris St-Germain

Manchester City want to keep Sergio Aguero this summer but Paris St-Germain are monitoring the situation in the event the Argentina striker becomes unsettled after being dropped by Pep Guardiola in favour of new arrival Gabriel Jesus writes James Ducker in The Telegraph.

No doubt this type of story will do the rounds until the summer, and beyond.

Simon Peach writes in the Mail Online

Gabriel Jesus warned by fellow Brazilian Fernandinho that it will take time to settle at City.

Brazil and City team-mate Fernandinho has been as impressed by the attacker as anyone, but warned that a drop-off at some point is only natural.

‘He has been a professional footballer for just two years, so he is starting very, very, very young,’ the midfielder said.

‘We were happy for his incredible performances for the national team and for his club, where he won a few titles, and now he has come here and started to score goals.

‘I hope he can keep that level at least until the end of the season.

‘As a young player you can sometimes drop your level. He can play amazing, but he is good because his mentality is good, on the same level all the time – he is stable.

‘We can help him stay at this level until the end of the season, and if he does everyone will be happy.

‘If he scores more goals for us, I’ll be the first to be happy.’

We stay with the same media outlet and the same reporter for the next headline…

Claudio Bravo backed to show his best form ‘very soon’ by City team-mate Willy Caballero

Willy Caballero is sure Manchester City will soon see the best of fellow goalkeeper Claudio Bravo reports Mr Peach.

Pep Guardiola’s controversial summer decision to replace fans’ favourite Joe Hart with the Chilean has yet to bear fruit and the 35-year-old Argentinian also had to deal with scrutiny after arriving at the Etihad Stadium, but last season’s Capital One Cup final hero has backed his fellow South American to quickly shine.

‘I tried to focus on the games but I listened and was aware of the criticism in my first year at City, but I learned and worked hard to improve throughout my second year.

‘After the Capital One Cup final, everything changed and I felt a lot of affection from the City fans and I’ve really enjoyed it since.

‘I speak with Claudio all the time and have given him all the advice I can about the Premier League – the players, the stadiums, the teams and how they play.

‘I also told him that my first season here was difficult and not so happy, but because he plays most weeks, it will be different for him game by game.

‘He needs to stay confident, work hard and I am sure we will all see the best of Claudio Bravo very soon.’
