Man City hand new deal to £54m-rated man, could earn up to £150k-per-week

According to the Daily Star, Manchester City have handed a new deal to Gabriel Jesus that could see him double his money. The 23-year-old has been short of playing time due to injury this season but is still an important player to Pep Guardiola.

Sergio Aguero contract is up in 2021, so it’s essential that we tie down Jesus for the long-term and eye potential replacements for the former when the summer transfer window opens.

Jesus has made 157 appearances in all competitions since joining us from Palmeiras in 2017, scoring 71 goals with 30 assists. The £54m-rated striker has only made four appearances this season, scoring three goals, as he’s spent a large portion out with a leg injury.

It’s believed that Jesus’ new deal will land him £150k-per-week at City and may be longer than his existing contract that has three years to run. The 23-year-old could be spending his formative years at the Etihad Stadium which is great news.

Although Jesus hasn’t been at his best in 2020, he’s still got bags of potential and should flourish in Manchester when fully fit. We’ll desperately need him if Aguero leaves next summer.
