Report: Man City player closing in on £13m move to PL rivals after impressing manager

Manchester City would like to bring in Jack Grealish from Aston Villa and Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, but they don’t have the resources to sign both players without raising some transfer funds.

The Daily Mail say City will make around £13m for the sale of Jack Harrison who’s closing in on a move to Leeds United, so that money can be put towards a new arrival.

The 24-year-old has impressed Marcelo Bielsa while on loan at Elland Road and Leeds are obligated to pay the agreed fee to procure his signature this summer. Harrison joined Man City in 2018 but hasn’t made an appearance in their first team.

He was immediately loaned out to Middlesbrough (January 31, 2018 – May 31, 2018) and Leeds (July 30, 2018 – July 31, 2020) (August 10, 2020 – May 31, 2021) where he’s finally found his feet and looks a talented Premier League player.

Harrison made 36 league appearances last season, scoring eight goals with eight assists, so he’s having a hand in one goal every two games on average.

Leeds are all too keen to sign him permanently and City are happy to cash in as they have Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Ferran Torres, Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva at their disposal. Harrison will want regular action too, so this deal benefits all parties.
