According to the Mirror, Manchester City are set to offer Raheem Sterling a new contract as reward for his form under Pep Guardiola.
The 25-year-old is in his fifth year at the Etihad Stadium and has three remaining on his existing deal, but we’re very keen to tie him down for what should be the best years of his career.
If Sterling signs a new deal, the Mirror say he could earn more than £300k-per-week/£15.6m-a-year.

The England international joined from Liverpool in 2015 and has gone on to make 256 appearances in all competitions, scoring 105 goals with 79 assists. Sterling has taken his game to another level under Guardiola (2016 – present) too, netting 57 league goals in the last three years.
- 2016/17 (Premier League): 33 games, 7 goals, 10 assists
- 2017/18 (Premier League): 33 games, 18 goals, 15 assists
- 2018/19 (Premier League): 34 games, 17 goals, 12 assists
- 2019/20 (Premier League): 33 games, 20 goals, 4 assists
- 2020/21 (Premier League): 8 games, 2 goals, 1 assist
Sterling is one of the first names on the teamsheet and will be even more important should Sergio Aguero leave in 2021. We’ve already handed a contract to Gabriel Jesus, so here’s hoping Sterling will commit his future in Manchester for the long-term.
