Manchester Derby In Jeopardy

Due to an exceptional fall of snow in and around the Manchester area last night, (up to nine inches in places), tomorrow’s Carling Cup Semi-Final First Leg at Eastlands might be called off due to safety concerns.

Although the pitch is expected to be playable, the referee has to take into consideration the health and safety of those attempting to get to the City of Manchester Stadium.

With Manchester and Liverpool airports currently closed, I have to say it’s not looking good.

An official announcement will be made either later today or first thing Wednesday morning.

Those of you living close to the stadium are keeping us informed of developments. CLICK HERE for the very latest snow updates.
