Voting has now opened for the 2009-10 Pride of Manchester Awards…an award ceremony where you can vote your Mancunian of the year and an opportunity for somebody to gain recognition for the work they have done!
You may all be aware that I suffer from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and that I voluntarily work with a wonderful charity called Action Duchenne where my aim and objective is to gain more awareness and educate people throughout networks about an illness quite reserved that’s low profile yet very harmful where death is perceptible.
I would like to appeal to the people of our society and ask would they like to maybe consider casting their vote for me…Carl Tilson as Mancunian of the year not only because I would love the honour of receiving such a privilege it’s because the awareness and publicity afterwards would immensely help my cause giving the hope for the other young men and children of today that maybe a treatment will come available in this generation.
If you vote for me you will be voting for every single person fighting the battle against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and even recognise the work and effort given by the fallen Duchenne soldiers who in spirit I’m sure would vote!
