It’s good news all round as the MCFC feelgood factor takes another morale boost in the form of what was a tremendously successful tour of the Far East…

City boss Roberto Mancini, shortly to welcome back to training the club’s Euro 2012 contingent is in fine form and had this to say post City’s latest pre-season win on the road:

‘I am even more confident today. Sergio played very well and his partnership with Carlos has continued from last season…hopefully we can continue this good form in the coming season.’

– Tevez and Aguero’s work rates have certainly caught the eye.

Fears that inspirational City captain Vincent Kompany might miss the start of the season after an early flight home due to an injury picked up in the win over Arsenal have been laid to rest by the cool for cats City boss:

It is nothing serious. Vincent had a scan and should be fit to play against Chelsea in the Community Shield in two weeks…’

The draw for the 2012/13 Champions League Group Stage will take place in Monaco on Thursday, 30th August. The opening round of games will kick off in the week commencing Monday, 17th September.
