Trouble at t’mill and then some. Roberto Mancini has revealed his absolute frustration over The Blues’ lack of transfer activity at his Community Shield presser…

‘After four months, I don’t know what to say. You need to ask Brian Marwood. Talk with Marwood, please…I’m not the Sporting Director and cannot talk about the players.’ said the City boss as he responded to questions over City’s lack of any signings so far this summer.

In the scheme of things with morale sky high across Planet Blue, not a smart move with the anti-City brigade having had very little to foam about this summer. The vast majority of City fans would prefer to see the registering of disappointment over such issues kept in house, but it’s out there now and has to be dealt with.

Mancio clearly revealed his frustration that the City hierarchy has yet to capture any agreed targets ‘in order to improve’ but more tellingly admitted unhappiness at how the club is structured over transfer market policy: ‘I am not happy – but I do not know what to say.’

One senses that this has been coming with City’s ambitious young manager eager to build upon the stunning platform he has constructed at City with some key squad additions, but the need to balance The Champions books is also uppermost with UEFA President Michel Platini continuing to make boggly eyes at City as opposed to anywhere else.

The City boss went on to confirm that The Blues had received numerous offers from some of Europe’s biggest clubs to sign Mario Balotelli but each one had been rejected.
