“Masterclass”, “Done it again” – Some MCFC fans gush as “great” Champions League news emerges

According to an update courtesy of journalist Paul Hirst in the Times, world renowned surgeon Dr Ramon Cugat was able to rectify the damage done in striker Sergio Aguero’s left meniscus – with the Argentine now training to get back to full fitness in time for our Champions League campaign.

Aguero, who has scored 16 goals in 18 league starts for the Sky Blues this season, suffered a knee injury during our 5-0 romp at home to Burnley in late June – but now the Times have revealed he is undergoing rehabilitation in hopes he will return to play some part in our European hopes.

City have had to rely on out-and-out striker Gabriel Jesus as the only natural back up option during that time, with fellow attacker Raheem Sterling also capable of playing in the role.

However, given this latest update on Aguero’s fitness, some City supporters have rightfully gushed over the ‘great news‘ – find all of their best comments down below.
