The Premier League have now announced the match day officials that will take charge of the game between Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester City this Saturday, 12 August 2017.

Brighton host Manchester City on Saturday August 12 for the game at the Amex Stadium and the match carries a 5.30pm kick off.

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistants: S Bennett and J Collin
Fourth Official: S Attwell

Match Day referee Oliver is yet to officiate in 2017/18.

He took in 44 games in 2016/17 with a return of 138 yellow cards and five red cards.

His highest card count that season was seven yellows in the game between Watford and Manchester United.

He took in 36 matches in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he handed out a total of 131 yellow cards and nine red cards.

He was most card happy in the Capital One Cup final between Liverpool and Manchester City in February with ten yellow cards being shown.

Let’s hope it’s not another repeat and more of the players edge closer to automatic bans.
