On the day of City’s crunch Champions League clash with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, a delegation of club officials will lay a wreath at Munich’s Manchesterplatz…

City Life President Bernard Halford will lead City’s representation in remembering the Munich air crash of 1958.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has publicly welcomed City’s gesture:

‘I think it is refreshing. We appreciate that from Manchester City and of course one of their own former players was killed in the crash. It shows the game is not as bad as we often think. If that’s the case, well done.’
